Ellie's Diary: Gardening and snooping

I keep hoping Tom will ask me to go rafting with him and that my parents will let me go. I guess he's going with some other guys he went to high school with, and they're driving up from Boston. Well, somewhere around there anyway.

When I was out staking tomatoes this morning, I heard him talking to one of them on his phone, and I thought about walking by or something to see if maybe he'd ask me then. I chickened out though, so hopefully I'll get another chance!

I really like Anne, too. She's fun and unpretentious. And I like Claire too. It makes me wish I'd talked to them more before now.
