I finally got everything arranged and put away this morning, and Mom and Dad left just before noon. At least we said "see you later" to each other rather than goodbye, since that seems so final. Really gonna miss them a lot, but living with Aunt Maggie and Uncle Dylan to pursue jumping feels right to me.
Uncle Dylan showed me what my chores in the barn are, and they're a lot less than expected. He said that they're going to try to hire someone, maybe another student, to help out with what I'd normally be expected to do. It was really generous of him and I appreciate it a lot.
I trained with Aunt Maggie a little too, and she's actually letting me take -- get this -- Bucephalus out for a ride later. Having a horse named after Alexander the Great's cracks me up, but he's absolutely magnificent. Maybe I'll go explore that trail I used to like to ride on when I was younger... this place was always so fun as a kid.
Oh, and school. Pretty nervous about going, and having to meet new people. I just hope no one notices me, so I can come straight back here and ride!
